About Us

InterGlobe Hotels was established in 2004 with a focus to be positioned amongst India’s best hotel companies. Our journey began when two industry giants – InterGlobe Enterprise Private Limited and Accor Asia Pacific – came together to create a 60:40 joint venture. The combined strength led to the creation of ‘ibis’ network of hotels in India.

This move embodies one of the most significant financial commitment made in the mid-market hotel segment in the region by any Indian conglomerate in partnership with an international hospitality player.

Through our unwavering commitment to innovation, efficiency and collaboration, we have developed and operationalised a chain of 21 hotels offering 3,790 rooms.

We have remained ambitious in our approach and have set our sights on expanding our portfolio to 23 operational hotels with an inventory of more than 4,000 fully equipped rooms by 2024. To achieve this goal, we will launch 2 new hotels, currently at various stages of construction, which will add 497 keys cumulatively.

2023

InterGlobe Hotels launches its 20th hotel – ibis Thane with 186 rooms.

2022

Opening of our 19th Hotel – The 154 room ibis Bengaluru Hebbal. The hotel marks our third hotel in Bengaluru Region.

2021

Opening of our 18th Hotel – The 249 Room ibis Mumbai Vikhroli. This hotel marks our third and largest hotel in Mumbai region.

2020

InterGlobe Hotels conferred with the prestigious 7th IGBC Green Champion Awards 2020 under the category of ‘Pioneer in large scale adoption of green buildings in hospitality sector in India’

2019

Opening of our 17th Hotel – The 189 Room ibis Kolkata Rajarhat. This marked our first hotel in East India.

ibis Hyderabad HITEC City was awarded ‘Best 3 Star Hotel’ at the FICCI Travel & Tourism Excellence Awards 2019.

2018

Opening of our 5th property in Maharashtra with the 137 keys ibis Pune Hinjewadi. This hotel marked our single largest presence in one state and our 6th Hotel in West India.

2017

Opening of the 115 keys ibis Kochi City Centre marked the expansion of InterGlobe Hotels to 9 states in India.

Opening of our 15th Hotel – The 129 keys ibis Coimbatore. Consolidated our presence in South India as our 7th hotel in the region.

The company won its second consecutive Golden Peacock Award for Risk Management.

2016

1st ibis Styles opened in India with the ibis Styles Goa Calangute entering the Goa market. It was our first ever resort property and debut in one of the India’s most popular tourist destinations.

Our 13th Hotel – ibis Hyderabad HITEC City opened in September.

The company won its first ever Golden Peacock Award for Risk Management in 2016

2014

Opening of our biggest hotel till date with 445 keys – ibis Delhi Aerocity. Till date this hotel remains the largest hotel in the portfolio of InterGlobe Hotels.

Additionally, two other hotel inaugurations of ibis City Centre in Bengaluru and ibis SIPCOT Chennai made this the single largest year in terms of new keys added to the portfolio. The opening of 794 keys took our total inventory to 1960 keys.

2013

The year marked our foray into the ‘Pink City’ Jaipur with the opening of the 140 keys ibis Jaipur located centrally in the Civil Lines area. The hotel is counted among Jaipur’s best value international hotels and marks the opening of Accor’s first hotel in Rajasthan. This hotel is also significant as this was our first ever hotel in a leisure destination.

2012

A significant year for us as 3 hotels opened in a single year with the ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road, ibis Navi Mumbai and ibis Nashik all entering the market to double the inventory to over 1025 keys.

2011

Opening of the ibis Mumbai Domestic Airport marks our 3 rd hotel in India with 148 keys taking total inventory to 524 keys. The opening of this hotel marked the portfolio’s first airport hotel located right next door to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

2009

Our 2 nd hotel ibis Pune Viman Nagar with 160 keys opens.

2008

Our 1 st hotel in India ibis Gurgaon Golf Course Road with 214 keys opens. A first-of-its-kind in the country, the location chosen was in the heart of Gurgaon which made it ideal for both business executives and leisure travellers.

InterGlobe Hotels won its first ever award the “Best Innovation in Operations (Hotels)” award at the GMR Express TravelWorld Awards.
